RiverWorks Tunnel Server

The RiverWorks Tunnel Server (RTS) is a dedicated VPN hardware platform that provides high-density tunnel aggregation, unlimited network scalability, and high performance packet processing of VPN traffic.


Dedicated Tunnel Processing

  • Each RiverWorks Tunnel Server (the RTS-6000, and the RTS-2000) contains a dedicated high-speed processor that supports from hundreds to tens of thousands of remote users.
  • The RTS-6000, which is designed for extra large enterprises, supports up to 5,000 simultaneous VPN tunnels. The RTS-2000 is designed for small to medium enterprises and supports up to 500 VPN tunnels.


High Performance Tunnels

  • Indus River's unique Turbo Tunnel enhancements, such as selective acknowledgement and retransmission of VPN packets and a pre-encrytion stateful compression algorithm, deliver 2 -3 times performance improvement over conventional remote access implementations during congested Internet periods, allowing mission critical applications to take place.


Secure Network Access

  • The RiverWorks Tunnel Server uses 40-, 56-, 128-, or 168-bit encryption to ensure maximum security for VPN traffic.


Multiple Protocol Support

  • The RTS supports a multi-protocol environment, enabling both IP and IPX traffic to be tunneled using PPTP or Indus River's enhanced IPSec implementation.


Scalable Architecture

  • RiverWorks' flexible system architecture enables centralized or distributed server configurations for global VPN implementations. And as network requirements grow, enterprises can easily upgrade their tunnel server to meet their configurations.
