cIPro-5000 DMZ
Designed to give protection for various servers outside the private LAN, the cIPro- 5000 DMZ is a dual
engine, IPSec/ IKE Virtual Private Network (VPN) gateway. It separates internal resources from public
servers, creating two independent secure communications channels: one for corporate Intranets and another
for Extranets with trusted and un- trusted partners. Communications within the internal system remain
private to Intranet members while all information is encrypted and protected from unauthorized parties.
Highlights
- Enables De- Militarized Zones for Virtual Private Networking
- Increased VPN capacity for a variety of networking needs
- Double multi- site network encryption engines
- Graphic User Interface (GUI) management software
- Automatic, secure key exchange
- Parallel security processing for high capacity, low latency operation
- Distributed, secure SNMP management and auditing
- Support for client encryption and remote authentication
- Automatic network learning and adaptation
Unique security features
- Key generation based on a revolutionary, real random number generator
- Four network interfaces provide protection for resources within the LAN and servers
outside the LAN, for example: modem pools, Extranets, web based services and proxy servers
- Key exchange performed at any requested frequency, even in the middle of communications
sessions
- Tamper proof and physically reinforced security modules
- Strong cryptography (up to 168 bit Triple DES)
Network segmentation for bullet-proof security
The cIPro- 5000 DMZ includes two dedicated IPSec/ IKE security platforms. It divides networks into two
segments, one for Intranet and another for Extranet applications. The cIPro- 5000 DMZ simultaneously
secures communications within the two separate networks, without introducing unwanted latency into real
time networked applications.
Worry free supply chain networking
Supply chain networks link competitors and partners to the same, shared network improving production
efficiency and reducing time to market. The cIPro- 5000 DMZ's multiple security engines allow companies to
participate in supply chain networks without opening their internal resources to other parties within the
shared Extranet.
The cIPro DMZ enables De-Militarized Zones for Virtual Private Networking
Interoperability and ease of integration
Working in tandem and fully compatible with the cIPro family of VPN and network security devices, the
cIPro- 5000 DMZ easily fits into existing networks, automatically learning network topologies and joining
secure communications environments without the slightest reconfiguration. The cIPro- 5000 DMZ is fully
compatible with the cIPro family's hardware- based and third party certificate authorities and leading
industry standards for secure communications, including: IPSec, IKE and X.509.
Flexible manageability and simple operation
Designed for both large and small- scale environments, the cIPro- 5000 DMZ comes with a user- friendly
management system that provides simple and secure pathways (with IPSec encryption and optional dedicated
firewall support) for centralized network management. The cIPro- 5000 DMZ also supports isolated regional
management configurations, allowing companies linked to multi- party Extranets to maintain full control
over their networked resources.
