cIPro-5000 CA
cIPro-CA is a device that issues public keys' certificates. cIPro-CA is connected to the network in front
of the cIPro-Manage, so it also acts as a private protection device (encryption + access control) of the
cIPro-Manage station, enabling fully secured management traffic.
Before any cIPro-VPN starts using the public key of another cIPro-VPN, either for signature
verification or for symmetric key establishment (for payload encryption), it verifies that the other
cIPro-VPN's public key was certified by the cIPro-CA. Thus, each cIPro-VPN must certify its public keys,
and advertise the certified keys to all other cIPro-VPNs in the network.
Part of the cIPro-VPN initialization process is obtaining a certificate for its public key. After the
cIPro-VPN gets hold of its certificates, it advertises them to all the known (already certified)
cIPro-VPNs in the network.
Main Functions:
- Control of network access to cIPro-Manage
- cIPro-graphic technology-based protection of data transmitted between cIPro-Manage and
cIPro-CA devices on the network
- Serving as a Certification Authority, that identifies, authenticates and certifies
authorized cIPro-VPN devices on the network
